Abstract
Solar Analytics is an Australian data Start-Up company providing automated analysis of rooftop solar PV systems to show the customer how well their system is performing and to provide diagnostic support to solar retailers in order to help them resolve faults quickly.
This seminar will present the methodology behind the analysis, giving insight into algorithm development and implementation through case-studies of system faults. The role of analytics in the changing landscape of home energy use will be discussed, with a focus on developments both within Solar Analytics and throughout the industry.

Brief Bio
Dr Jonathon Dore heads the data analytics team at Solar Analytics, continually improving the accuracy of energy prediction and fault diagnostic algorithms for small-scale PV systems. Jonathon is a solar specialist with 15 years of experience, having studied at SPREE for his bachelor and doctoral degrees, where he also maintains a part-time post-doctoral research position. He has worked in R&D and manufacturing in both Australia and Germany with CSG Solar and Suntech R&D Australia and his work has been honoured with awards from UNSW, the Australian Solar Institute, the Australian Institute of Physics and the IEEE.
